Draculaura's Dilemma Chpt. 1

Draculaura sat down in front of the computer in the library, her notes for the latest headlining story strewn about in an unorganized fashion.
"So much to do…" She whispered as her manicured nails tapped away on the keyboard. She was glad that she had the chance to review Clawdeen's latest play, but she was totally behind schedule.
"Hey Draculaura," A shy voice said behind her, "Anyone next to you?"
Draculaura turned her head around to see Jackson Jeckyll standing behind her, a pile of homework in his hands.
"No problem, take a seat." She flashed him her fangs sweetly and then pulled the chair out for him a bit.
"Thanks." He said pushing his glasses up. "I am so behind on my homework but all the computer labs were full."
"Tell me about it. I have to have this article in the editor's hands by tomorrow morning and I just started." She said sorting through her papers.
Jackson laughed.  "At least I'm not the only procrastinator." He smiled at her timidly.
Draculaura stared at him as he moved his eyes back at the screen. For a Normie, he was actually really cute.
No. Snap out of it. Draculaura shook her head trying to get all thoughts of Jackson out of her head. He was Frankie's. She couldn't betray her best ghoul friend by falling for her crush.
"What's wrong?" Jackson looked over at her, a look of concern on his face.
"Huh? What?" Draculaura shot up guiltily.
"You were shaking your head. Is something wrong?"
"Oh no, of course not." She stuttered out, "I'm fine, fangtastic actually…it was just….it was nothing."
"Uh…ok." Jackson replied with a confused tone.
"Oh well, look at the time, I have to go meet Frankie-and Clawdeen!" Draculaura gathered her papers and stood to get up.
She began walking across the library when Jackson called her name. Is he going to ask me to stay? She thought hopefully.
"Uh, you left your computer on….Do you want me to log you out?"
She turned around slowly and was hoping that her face didn't look as red as it felt.
"Oh thanks, but I'll do it quick." She tried to smile as she walked back over to her computer, noticing that Jackson was staring at her with a concerned expression.
Well, she thought, at least he's noticing me…

Clawdeen was standing at her locker unloading her textbooks into her locker when Draculaura ran into her.
"Ouch! What was that for?" Clawdeen asked picking up the book she dropped.
"Sorry Clawdeen." Draculaura said smoothing her hair down, " I wasn't paying attention, I was looking for you, I think there's a problem, and I don't know, If Frankie finds out-"
Clawdeen put her paw up to stop the vampires rambling.
"Draculaura, Chill ghoul. Now, tell me slowly, what happened. What can't Frankie find out?"
"I Like Jackson!" Draculaura whispered loudly. Then she  let out a loud sigh and slumped against the lockers.
